Spring Fair Review

Our positive energy continued at Spring Fair with the rebranding being at the forefront of The CardGains Village and across the stand graphics.

We also held our annual presentation to the ‘outgoing’ charity and had the pleasure of presenting a cheque for £65,000 to Amy Hannagan from Pancreatic Cancer UK. Some of the team had time to talk to Amy about their experiences and how the funds can help with the charity’s research.

CardGains Charity Challenge 2026

We also announced the event for 2026; “Many Miles, Many Smiles.” This is a 20-mile walk in the Cheshire area and will take place on Thursday 25th June. This year’s charity is Meningitis Research Foundation.

Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, they are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

The New System Update

Following many hours of bespoke development, training and testing, our new system has successfully performed a full month’s cycle. There were a few inevitable teething problems and glitches in February, which have been resolved and we are confident everything will run smoothly this month. Your statement email will include a pdf version of your statement (in invoice date order) and a csv version of your statement for upload to your accounting system. If you would like assistance with converting csv to another format for upload to your accounting system or to convert it to an excel document, please email ian@cardgains.co.uk who will be glad to assist you.

We will be inviting feedback over the next few months, so please keep a note of things that you like and dislike about your new statement.

Supplier Update

We regret to inform you that Giftwrap UK have ceased trading and will therefore be taken out of the CardGains portfolio. We have various suppliers who offer giftwrap within their ranges, as well as giftwrap specialists and wholesalers.

For your giftwrap needs please refer to the CardGains Suppliers Directory.

Easter

The CardGains office will be closed on Good Friday the 3rd April and Easter Monday the 6th April.

CardGains Accounts and IT Team

It is with some sadness we advise you that after 35 years, Deborah Beedham has decided to retire from CardGains with effect from 24th March. I’m sure members and suppliers will join us in wishing her a long, happy and healthy retirement.

Please contact us by email, in the first instance from 8.45 to 4.45 on Mondays to Thursdays and from 8.45 to 1.00 on Fridays.
