Bringing the Greetings Card Industry Together for Charity

At CardGains, supporting good causes has always been close to our hearts. Every year, we organise and host a charity fundraiser that brings together the greetings card industry for a shared purpose: raising vital funds while enjoying great company and unforgettable experiences.

Each year we select a different charity to support, ensuring our fundraising has a broad and lasting impact. Since our very first event in 1998, CardGains suppliers, members and staff have collectively raised around £400,000 through a wide variety of events and activities. These have included golf days, bike rides, raffles and many other creative fundraising initiatives.

Over the years, our community has also taken on some truly memorable walking challenges. These include The Three Dams Challenge, The Lyke Wake Walk, The Yorkshire Three Peaks, Ben Nevis, and a full walk around the circumference of Lake Windermere, known as The Windy Wander. Other highlights have included Withering Thighs, a 25-mile walk around Brontë country; the Seaside Shuffle from Whitby to Scarborough; Kumbaya Cumbria, a 27.5-mile Lake District challenge; the Almscliffe Anniversary Amble; and Look Out London — a 25-mile walk in and around London in 2023 that raised a whopping £50,000.

These events are about more than fundraising. They are about connection, collaboration and giving back — uniting the greetings card industry to make a real difference, year after year.
